Program Overview

The Korean Language Program at Kumoh National Institute of Technology is delivered by KIT's International Programs and Language Education Center in Gumi, one of South Korea's leading high-tech industrial cities. The program is designed for students preparing for university admission, academic study and everyday life in Korea.


Students receive integrated instruction in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Each intensive semester provides 200 class hours, with classes held five days per week and four hours per day. Additional support includes beginner Korean classes, TOPIK preparation and the Korean Connect Program.


The program supports D-4 language-training visa applicants and requires a high-school diploma or equivalent. Regular intakes are offered in spring, summer, fall and winter. Students must initially enrol for at least two semesters.


Tuition is approximately USD 850 per semester and includes insurance. Textbooks are charged separately. Students can also join Korean cultural experiences and receive support as they adapt to university life.
